- Select materials for the library media center.
- Add library media materials to the on-line catalog following
standard rules.
- Administer the library media program by overseeing the
library media budget, developing and carrying out library
media policies.
- Provide inservice on library related topics.

Library Media Assistant
Responsibilities:
Assists the library media specialist in providing services to
teachers and students by:
- Checking materials in and out.
- Ordering materials, supplies and equipment.
- Maintaining library media materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Performing the record keeping in the areas of numbers of
materials and budget.
- Supporting teaching done by the library media specialist.
- Assisting with the promotion of reading and other library
programs.
