ACTIVITIES

Parent
Involvement
PAC REPRESENTATIVE--As
a PAC Representative, you may be asked to help make
phone calls, arrange additional volunteers, remind parents
of meeting or upcoming parties and be a liaison between
teachers, children, and PAC. Each classroom requires one
PAC Representative.
PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCE
LUNCH COORDINATOR--
As coordinator you will put together a menu for the Parent/Teacher
Conference luncheon and then call upon other volunteers to
help provide the food. This luncheon is provided for the
teachers twice a year.
HALLOWEEN & VALENTINE
PARTIES--Party coordinators plan parties for each
grade and then call on those who volunteered for treats
to help provide items needed for the party. Please indicate
if you have a holiday preference.
PROVIDING TREATS--You
may be called upon to help provide treats for the class
parties or for other occasions that may arise throughout
the year. Bear in mind that you may be asked to provide
napkins or cups rather than baked goods, as these items
are just as important for the parties.
COMPUTER HELPERS--Each
class could use a volunteer to enable teachers and students
work more with the computers. Teachers will provide you
with the information that the students will be doing on
the
computers. You will need to coordinate times with the classroom
teacher.
LIBRARY
HELPERS--Volunteers
assisting in the library help check books in and out to
students and aid students in finding reading and research
materials. Mrs. Epp and Mrs. Haskell can help set up schedules
that would work for you. Available also is assisting at
the school's yearly book promotions like book fairs and
used book sales. |
